Exercises to straighten my spine?
Lately, I’ve suffered from a herniated disc. So I can’t do yoga anymore. At least until the day I heal it enough to stretch my leg out completely. The thing is, when I used to do yoga, my spine felt AMAZING! Now that I haven’t done it in a long time, my back is always hurting and I swear I think it moved slightly and it just disgusts me to even think about it. How can I realign my spine again, giving it a godly-awesome stretch, like I used to with yoga without probing my herniated disc?
Have your Dr send you to physical therapy. You need to have a professional help you do the correct exercises to help your back heal.

Awakening the Spine $33.57 The late Vanda Scaravelli, an early follower of B.K.S. Iyengar and Krishnamurti, endorses a complete integration of body and mind. In three major sections, this volume touches on yoga theory, discusses the postures or asanas, and explains the importance of proper breathing. While Scaravelli does include illustrations and descriptions of the asanas, this book is a discussion of the yoga lifestyle rather than a set of instructions. The experienced yoga student will glean much from the extensive story of stories section, which goes into great detail about Scaravelli's philosophies on yoga, the body, the mind, and how they all relate to one another. The only book this influential teacher published in her long teaching career, AWAKENING THE SPINE adds a unique voice to the yoga canon. |
