Do you seek God through action, devotion, wisdom or thought?
Bhakti. According to the ancient Vedas when one comes to Bhakti they have done all paths and all processes. Bhakti is the end of all other Yoga’s and the beginning of ones true eternal constitutional position. I love the practice of Bhakt it is so natural and joyfully performed. I seek Krishna (also known as Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama through loving devotional service.
Hare Krishna!

Living Yoga $26.24 LIVING YOGA is an in-depth and admirably comprehensive guide to the yogic lifestyle, aimed at people for whom yoga is not just a passing fad but an enduring choice. Written like a textbook, it comprises short articles and essays–some original, some previously published in Yoga Journal magazine–about every conceivable aspect of yoga: diet, postures, meditation, selfless service, and more. After a thorough introduction, written by one of yoga's most knowledgeable scholars, Georg Feuerstein, the book proceeds to discuss five major yogic paths: hatha (the physical aspects of yoga), bhakti (the transformative power of love), jnana (wisdom), karma (service) and tantra (ritual). That the articles express so many divergent points of view and yet work together so cohesively is the book's main strength. |

Simple Yoga (Simple Wisdom) $10.19 Simple Yoga takes an extremely complex subject and makes it accessible to general readers. It explains what yoga is how it evolved in ancient India and how it can benefit the typically harried Western lifestyle. It gives practical information on the various yoga styles available in the West and offers suggestions for choosing a style and finding an appropriate teacher. A chapter on women and yoga and a basic routine for readers to try on their own are included as well as a modified routine for the office. Unlike most yoga books targeted to people already involved in the discipline Simple Yoga is short and easy to absorb. It gives a feel for what yoga is without getting overly theoretical. A practical guide it is particularly useful in helping readers find the style of yoga that’s right for them. |
